Five Items You NEED For Fall

Recently I had an amazing photo shoot done and I am so excited to show you some sneak peak pictures! Christina is not just an old associate of mine but she is also a dear friend. She is truly talented and she really captured everything I was looking for and so much more. Going into this shoot I knew I wanted to show you guys not only multiple looks, but more importantly versatile staple pieces. Quality over quantity is a must during fall! Especially when you live in a state where if you blink, the weather changes.

This first dress I instantly fell in love with! From the moment I saw it online I HAD TO HAVE IT! Then when I put it on, it was a match made in heaven. Still kind of debating buying it in a second color but ya know, responsible adulting is a thing sometimes. It is the softest suede and I love the button down front detail. I wore it two different ways and have other ways in mind throughout the season changes. When you find an item like that, don’t let it go.

The first way I wore it was with a simple black & white striped T-Shirt and my Old Skool black & white vans. It was edgy yet cute. Perfect for these last moments of summer and going into fall. The tee I’ve had for a while but I linked a similar one for you guys!

The second way I wore the suede dress was definitely a perfect look for fall and even going into winter! (Just add tights!) I can’t even begin to tell you how great I felt in this look. It was still edgy but definitely more dressed up. Great for a date day or a date night! I put a long sleeve black shirt underneath and paired it with some over the knee suede boots! If I was going to add the tights, personally I would change the boots and add some booties with a heel. Which shows you the endless possible ways to wear this dress!

The next staple piece I got is the MOST AMAZING pair of high-rise wide leg jeans. Never have I ever thought in a million years I would wear this style of jeans but guys, I WAS FEELING ALL THE 70’s VIBES!!! There is just something so chic about them that I just couldn’t pass up! I felt like a different person. In a good way haha. Not only are they super flattering but the amount of tops I realized I could pair with them to change-up the look is unreal. Both tops I am going to show you are very boho and have a similar vibe but that’s just how I was feeling! I am also planning to wear band tee’s either tucked in or twisted on the side in a knot. Give it a more rocker vibe than boho. Then plain tanks with thicker sweaters and loafers to have a more relaxed look.

While shopping for the high-waisted jeans, I found the next two items. Some call it luck, I however, like to refer to all good shopping experiences as fate. haha. Definitely helps me with the buyer’s remorse later. I had been looking for a navy floral jumpsuit for a while actually. Every time I found one I either didn’t like how it fit, I didn’t like the neckline on myself or it was over the budget I had in mind. I wanted specifically navy because it is such a good color all year round. It truly can be such a versatile piece if worn correctly. It’s still summer here so I kept it simple and paired it with some cut out booties from Target and my Brixton hat. (Thank me later for the booties, they look exactly like the ones sold by Free People but for only $32!) During the fall I will either add a cardigan or my denim jacket and some booties! Then spring and summer bust it right back out again! I LOVE IT!

Saved the best for last! This dress I saw and immediately I said, “WOW!” It was definitely out of my comfort zone but I knew I could do a lot with it. Not only that, I WANT to get out of my comfort zone! (THAT’S HUGE!) But, it does always makes me feel better when I walk around dressed to the MAX! When I tried it on you could immediately tell I was uncomfortable. With the boost of confidence I had from a friend, I purchased it and instantly the possibilities that came to mind with this piece were endless. I could wear it now without anything underneath. I could wear it with short sleeves for the fall. I could pair it with long sleeves for the fall AND winter. For winter though I would definitely add some tights with knee high boots. For fall I would stick with the short or long sleeve tee with no tights and booties. I LOVE IT! I got the x-small and although I had room in the waist it seemed like it fit the best for me everywhere else. EVERYONE NEEDS THIS DRESS. It also comes in three other colors.
