Latest Shopping Haul

The more it actually starts to FEEL like fall outside, the more I want to shop. It really is my favorite season to dress for. I love being able to wear light layers, thin sweaters, booties and jeans. Within the last month or so, I have found some really good items that I couldn’t wait to share with you guys! Some things I got are super affordable and other items I instantly fell in love with, so I splurged on them a bit.

My go to place to start shopping is always Target. Most of you who follow me already know this though. I just can’t get enough of that place! The Universal Thread brand they recently just started carrying is BOMB. Definitely one of my new favorites. It is such good quality for a more than affordable price.

I knew walking in I wanted a new fall coat. Something lightweight, with a hood, and not green. haha. I have WAY TOO MANY green utility jackets. I love the look of the utility jacket though so I was sticking with that style. Upon looking I saw this beautiful, copper color jacket and immediately pulled it out and tried it on. It was fate! It fit perfectly, followed my criteria and the color is everything I could have imagined and then some! Highly suggest going to the store and trying it on for yourself. You won’t regret it. Not to mention it’s only $40!

Utility Anorak Jacket

One of my favorite things about transitioning into a fall wardrobe is all the hoodies/pullovers. (You really can’t have enough.) While the weather permits, I like to sit outside at night and either work or just take some me time. Instead of always having to wear a coat, I like to find something that is easy to throw on and is comfortable. However, I also wanted it to be functional during the day to throw on with some jeans while running errands. This crew neck was it. It’s super relaxed but doesn’t make you look frumpy. I got the burgundy color because I seriously own way too much gray and I love it. It looks more like a red online but in person the color is actually beautiful. I got it in a small because I like my pullovers to be a little more loose fitting.

Crew Neck Sweatshirt

While writing this I realized I do tend to buy a lot of the same colors depending on season. This next top I showed you guys in my IG stories when I tried it on. Again, I got the burgundy color, creature of habit I guess. It’s short sleeved but still looks good with a cardigan thrown over it. Which is convenient for me because when going in and out of stores, I tend to go from being hot and cold A LOT. The tie front trend is also super in right now. I didn’t have any short sleeve tops like that though, so that in itself made it a good buy to me. It does come in two other colors too!

The next place I tend to gravitate towards more during fall and winter is Nordstrom. (Duh, we’ve talked about this.) However, I found a lot of really good picks this time around. Some are on super sale, some are sadly sold out in the color that I purchased (womp, womp) and the rest I kind of splurged on, which was totally worth it … I really just couldn’t help myself! You guys will understand when you see them, I promise, haha.

This first sweater is so easy to style and wear. It looks great paired with jeans and booties. Even leggings and tennis shoes too, depending on your mood for the day. The length of this sweater is so ideal for any outfit. Not to mention it’s so cozy and soft! I got my normal XSmall size because it does fit a little oversized. It did come in multiple colors, I bought the beige, but I noticed almost all sizes are sold out. This was one of the items I purchased during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, so it has been out for awhile. They’e restocked it once before so I am hoping for you guys they will do it again.

Dreamers by Debut Exposed Seam Sweater

I love a good t-shirt dress. This particular one I liked even more because of the price haha. Not only that but this one is long sleeves. I don’t own any like this and have wanted one for awhile. I plan to wear it either with some black booties and a longer necklace, or with tights and my high top converse/vans. There are so many effortless looks you can get out of this one dress. It’s a little over sized, so I got an XSmall and it fits perfectly. Unfortunately, this is another item that came in multiple colors and is selling out fast. I got the olive green and black striped one when it was available. Unfortunately, it’s out of stock. I do love the white and gray striped one just as much though! I however, try not to not wear white that often. If your wondering why, its because …. One I have kids and two I probably spill my coffee on myself a minimum of twice a day. I’m seriously one of the clumsiest people I know.

Billabong T-Shirt Dress

I am definitely a sucker for anything Free People that’s on clearance. There are so many great options and the sizing usually isn’t picked over too much either. Their dresses tend to be most of my favorites. When I saw this one I knew I had to have it. I tend to have a smaller waist and bigger hips (baby carrying hips, ya know what I’m saying) so anything that wraps is GREAT for me. It helps me show off my figure a little more when I am feeling some type of way. I love the floral print and the versatility of it. It’s another silhouette that can be worn as is with some loafers or with a cute pair of booties and some tights for those colder days. It comes in multiple colors, naturally I got the black print. I live for all things black. It is so feminine and fun, when you put it on you can’t help but twirl around in it! Free People usually runs large but I still got my normal XSmall size.

Free People Pradera Floral Dress

Everyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with all things plaid. Dresses, shirts, flannels, pants, GIVE ME ALL THE PLAID THINGS. Well actually…I lied… I have to like the colors within the plaid haha. But this particular dress, definitely had all the right colors. This was one of the items I felt was worth splurging on. It screams everything I love about fall. Today I wore this dress for the first time and I paired it with some tan booties I got last year. I wanted to keet it simple. Considering “fall” today meant still being 81 degrees. When it does cool down though, I might throw on some basic white tennis shoes and a jean jacket. I can’t wait to live in this dress. It is a swingy babydoll fit so there is a lot of room. It says it runs true to size online, but Madewell usually runs small to me. Knowing that, I bought a small, thinking ahead, and kind of wish I had purchased the Small. My luck… Just don’t follow their number size guidelines when ordering basically. I purchased mine through Nordstrom but I am going to post the link for Madewell’s site as well because it has been sold through most sizes.

I saw this sweater on quite a few other bloggers and took the plunge. I love the colors in it, I love the stripes and I love how it basically goes with just about anything. I haven’t worn it yet, but I definitely see this as being another item that is super versatile. However, it is yet another item that I splurged on. But if I’m keeping it real, that’s all things from Madewell. Their brand is just so on point it makes it hard to resist. It has more of a boxy fit for skinny jeans or tighter skirts and it’s shorter in the front so it can be half tucked. I’m super excited to wear it. I bought a size Small because I hate tight sweaters. Fingers crossed I have better luck with the sizing chart this time around.

Madewell Patch Pocket Pullover Sweater

Last, but definitely not least, I shopped from my favorite boutique Roolee. For those of you who haven’t shopped there yet, you are definitely missing out. I know I’ve written about them before but I am just in love. I didn’t find much there during the summer (my fault though, not theirs, I just hate summer clothes) but fall and winter there is BOMB. They always have the cutest sweaters, dresses/jumpsuits and t-shirts. Make sure you check their ThursdayRoolee updates every week. I think it’s so fun they update their inventory online like that, it gives you something to look forward to!

I simply just can’t get enough of overalls and jumpsuits. I just LOVE them! I know what all of you females out there are thinking too… “How in the world do you pee?” But let me just tell you from experience. The more you wear jumpsuits, the less you worry about when you have to go to the restroom in one. Not only that, but as a mom, I’m so busy most of the time I don’t even have time to go to the restroom when I need to, hahaha. When I was scrolling through Roolee’s website and saw this particular jumpsuit, it was honestly the color that sold me immediately. Not only that but the style was something I haven’t seen anywhere else. Considering I don’t live in Utah and couldn’t try it on, I went ahead took the chance and ordered it. When it came in the mail, OH MY GOSH, I was not disappointed AT ALL. The color was still perfect, the fit was even better than I could have imagined and I just felt SO CUTE in it. Needless to say, give this item a sho. It is 100% worth it.

Carlton Button Jumpsuit

I’ve already posted this next shirt on IG for obvious reasons. One, I love what it says on it, “Earth. Peace. Love.” And two, I just really couldn’t wait to wear it. Something about a simple, cute t-shirt wins for me every time for me. It’s basically my go-to for when I want to look some what put together, but I don’t actually have to try. Cause #momlife … I did however size up to a medium. Having ordered many of shirts like this from Roolee before, I kept in mind that they usually run small and will shrink. This mama doesn’t have time to worry about reading every label for washing, so I try to make laundry as simple as possible for myself. It’s a vintage, worn out looking gray. Making it super easy to pair with just about anything. Totes think everyone needs this shirt, or something similiar.

Graphic Tee

Obviously there are a million other things I wanted to purchased for the upcoming seasons, but I seriously had to stop somewhere. haha. Like I’ve said throughout this entire post, all of these items are versatile and can even be worn even into the winter. I try to be a realist when it comes to the purchases I make because I want to get my moneys worth. Which means wearing the item as many ways as I can, for as long as I can. If you do purchase any of these items, you won’t regret it! And please feel free to tag me on Instagram any time you do wear anything I suggest. I would love to see it and will definitely repost any pictures you send me on my Instagram story! Side note…. Is there anything else you guys want to see from me that I haven’t posted about yet?
